PERIODS OF WAR
World War II: December 7, 1941 through December 31,1946,

M2: MEDICAL QUALIFICATION
To qualify medically, qualified claimants must need assistance with at least two activities of daily living or ADLs. ADLs include bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, transferring, and ambulating (walking). The VA also recognizes medication management along with instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs). For a full list of both ADLs and IDALs and an explanation, visit the website VeteransPension.com.
M3: MONEY – INCOME & ASSETS
The VA doesn’t have an income limit. Unreimbursed Medical Expenses are subtracted from the gross income to arrive at the net income; the net income must be zero to receive a full benefit. You can receive a partial pension benefit if your net income is more than zero.
The 2024 VA’s net-worth limit is $155,355. Please note that there are strategies to reduce countable assets to non-countable assets to help qualify.
